September CPD: Another Great Month

Posted on Oct 02, 2023. by NTI

With the 1st November for the ‘ICAEW changes’ marker approaching (one month to go!), it is becoming more vital to be able to access and verify your CPD.

With NTI's CPD TAP all the time spent listening to or downloading our up-to-the-moment webcasts is both 'verifiable' and extremely useful. We also had a great September, publishing 15 CPD TAP webcasts totalling 4 hours 8 minutes of updates, commentary, 'teaching moments' and, most importantly, highly relevant CPD.

Here is a summary of some of the content from September that is, of course, always available on the NTI app and can be listened to and shared at any time.

**    We looked at whether CVAs have a future, given that they appear to have fallen out of favour in recent times

**   September brought the decision on IPs not being regulated by the single regulator of the Insolvency Service; we chatted to David Kerr to get his thoughts on this, and the implications of the decision

**   We had two Consumer Issues webcasts, looking at the Personal Insolvency and Debt Advice sectors

**   We continued our series on Insolvency Guidance Papers, with a webcast on Succession Planning and another on Accounting and Other Records

**   Everyone’s favourite topic (?) COMI was back, as UNCITRAL reached its 26th birthday this year

**   The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill is potentially big news, concerning CDDA and Companies House changes

**   Ever popular topic, misfeasance was looked at on 18 September, and whether it can be the subject of a summary judgment

**   CPD TAP 473 looked at vacant possession in the case of Ethafil Limited

**   We gave two shorter case law updates; one on the annulment of a Bankruptcy (HMRC v Adjei, CPD TAP 474) and the challenge to Administrators’ appointment (Re The Sustainable Bathroom Company Limited, CPD TAP 475)

There is so much to tap into, enjoy and learn and the NTI app always keeps the most up-to-the-moment changes in our sector fresh and verifiable.
