NTI's packs work seamlessly with IPS and are heavily coded to ensure businesses can work easily with that system. At the moment, our packs are not compatible with any other database system.
Before installation of the NTI document packs, you should ensure that your IPS is up to date, together with whichever version of Microsoft you are using. If you are using Microsoft 2016 or older, some of the styling features may not be available. If you have any concerns about your system or setup, contact technical@nti.co.uk for further information and guidance.
NTI will install all of our document packs for you; this can either be done remotely, or via a site visit. There are some settings we need to check and add to IPS before the documents will be fully functional, so we recommend that we take on board all installation challenges to ensure you get the most out of the documents, rather than just leaving you to download them and muddle through.
NTI provide a huge amount of guidance included with our documents, as well as specific guidance notes with the initial pack. We also provide video tutorials on our website (nti.co.uk/technical) about how to get the very best out of our documents. However, if you wish for training on anything relating to the documents, please email technical@nti.co.uk and we can discuss what is appropriate and whether there would be an extra charge for this.
Not at present, but we are constantly looking at ways to improve our services and products.
All of NTI’s packs are coded for both sole and joint appointments, so you will not need separate packs or documents. All of our documents are merged for you, based on the information input into IPS for each case. Of course, all of our documents are triple-checked for grammar, as well as the gender of the IP where it is necessary to use phrases such as ‘him/her’.
Yes! (Of course!) All of NTI’s checklists are all fully mergeable within IPS, with a checklist for each case type, as well as each section of each case type (ie pre appointment, post appointment, annual matters and closing). We also provide checklists for the common parts areas, such as employees, pensions and disclaimer.
Yes! All necessary case reviews are provided, including a closing review and a case strategy note to be used and updated throughout each case.
No, you can buy as many or as few as you like. With each appointment pack (Administration, CVL, etc.) you will receive all the Common Parts packs no matter if you only buy one pack, or all eight.
Of course! Our documents have been formatted with Postworks in mind.
NTI can provide this service too, and there are several ways it can be achieved. The easiest way to make this happen is to set up your letterhead as a template in IPS and you merge each letter to a letterhead, as and when you need it. We can also add logos to reports, etc. where necessary. Please contact us for a quote for any ‘extras’ you may want.
Yes! NTI are working with an external developer to ensure that all of our documents can be converted to a ‘house style’ font. If you want to change margins, headers and footers, we can make this happen, and would charge you a small additional fee to do so. Email technical@nti.co.uk to discuss any specific requirements you have.
You can, however we would recommend caution as NTI’s packs are heavily coded and any editing or amending may inadvertently cause errors in the code. Our technical team are always on hand to help with any queries you have, and we will always work with you to significantly edit your documents or provide bespoke coding for you. Email technical@nti.co.uk for further information.
No! We have done the hard work for you, so you don’t have to think about anything except getting on with your business. We can, however, train your staff members in the coding should you want the ability to edit your own documents more thoroughly, or just to understand what we have done if you feel this is something useful for your business going forward. Email technical@nti.co.uk for further information.
NTI have checked, re-checked and triple-checked our documents and are confident they are the very best you can buy. However, errors can still occur, and we want to know about anything you spot; from incorrect spelling, to non-functioning formulae. While our documents have been rigorously tested through IPS, we are not too proud to admit we may have missed some things and want to know about them as soon as possible, so we can remedy everything in future updates. Email any amendments to documentpackerrors@nti.co.uk
Anything you wish to change to make your documents firm specific is covered in our bespoke coding section and we would be happy to discuss any of your firm’s specific requirements, and any associated costs. If we feel that other of our clients would benefit from the addition, we will change yours for free and release them with the next set of document updates.
NTI will release a record of all amended documents, as well as updated documents, so that those of our clients who have amended the documents to their house style, or changed the wording, can update the documents manually. Those who keep the NTI standard style can just copy over the latest documents with the included amendments.
